After downloading, confirm the file is intact and untampered by checking its SHA-256 checksum. In Terminal, run shasum -a 256 ~/Downloads/Sway-1.0.0-universal.dmg and confirm it matches:

- Open the downloaded
.dmg. - Drag Sway into your Applications folder.
- Launch Sway. Because it is signed and notarized, macOS Gatekeeper opens it without a security warning.
- Grant the permissions below when prompted.

- Microphone — to process call audio locally for live transcription.
- Screen Recording — for the Cmd+E screenshot-to-AI feature.
- Accessibility — for global keyboard shortcuts and the overlay window.
